Screaming Lord Sutch

Long before anyone heard of psychobilly, there was Screaming Lord Sutch, dressing up and acting out macabre sketches to his music on stage. He helped rock music along by introducing LOUD. His early releases used such  contemporaries as Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Mitch Mitchell and others. He was a colorful character and meddled in U.K. politics, starting the Teenage Political Party in 1963 that evolved into the Monster Raving Looney Party in 1983. His party did have some success' such as lowering the voting age to 18. 

It's not halloween without revisiting Lord Sutch's music. You can find additional albums at Vertigo and at Deep Purple blogs. I haven't seen these come up very often before.
