Bonzo Dog Band: Tadpoles
"The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (also known as The Bonzo Dog Band, The Bonzo Dog Dada Band and The Bonzos) are a band created by a group of British art-school students in the 1960s. Combining elements of music hall, trad jazz, psychedelic rock, and avant-garde art, the Bonzos came to the attention of a broader British public through a children's television programme, Do Not Adjust Your Set." -- from Wikipedia
The children's show, Do Not Adjust Your Set, also featured several future members of Monty Python's Flying Circus (Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin) - the show wasn't for kids only. The Bonzo Dog Band were probably best known in the states for "Monster Mash" from the Dr. Demento show. But that's not the only one or the best track on this album. Enjoy!

On the blog, Retro Vinyl Cupboard, has featured the album Urban Spacemen DO EXIST!! (with a cleaned up version of the song, "Colour Me Pop") and a bootleg from a radio show - Live in Amsterdam, 8-25-69. Obviously, Retro Vinyl Cupboard is another great music blog worthy of attention for their efforts towards preserving our musical heritage.
And a simple reminder - it costs nothing to say thanks for their effort to keep music that you enjoy - like this - alive and available for everyone (v. left to rot in some warehouse).
