The Ultimate Relaxing New Age Music

What I usually like about compilations is their ability to group together a wide variety of music within a genre and provide a sample of what's available. New Age music is a broad category to explore. What I found so remarkable about this release was the uncanny ability of the selections to sound the same; Kitaro, Vollenweider, Arkenstone, Halpern. Each one have large collections of original music to chose from. It must have been tedious to find tracks so similar to the rest that they are transformed into annoying. I know I couldn't do that.

I was tempted to say if your looking for music to put you to sleep, this is it. But honestly, this music would keep me awake instead; sort of like a fly that won't go away or a dripping faucet does. Relaxing music doesn't need to be boring or repetitive.

Since this is such a good example of what I least like in new age music, you might think it's odd I'm posting it then? Well, it's a request. Some people will love it and that's what makes life interesting.
