Man Man
Man Man is like an explosion of gypsy, cavemen-rock sound that falls into a miraculous sync despite their antics and use of anything they can get their hands on. Every review I've read mentions their high energy, one of a kind performances. In 2005, Rolling Stone named them the best performers on-stage. They've opened for Modest Mouse and Feist. They've had several songs included on Weeds and commercials (Nike).
From Amazon: "Five guys beating the hell out of a myriad of instruments (some obviously homemade concoctions), leaping around as they switch and trade instruments and all the while keeping absolutely impeccable rhythm and melody. Tight, tight band that's so much fun to watch you feel like you're up on the stage with them."
Six Demon Bag is a perfect Halloween addition. Man Man had a new release this summer, Rabbit Hole, to kick off their 2008 tour. (sigh) It looks like the closest they'll get to me is in Mexico (very far away).
