Santastic 4: Various Artists

If you haven't been infected with a glimmer of Christmas spirit yet, you might want to try Santastic 4. I've never listened to mash-ups much, but this year they win my prize for #1. Songs that include Ramones Blitzkieg mashed with The Jackson 5, or Radiohead's Nude to Supremes White Christmas provide some of the most original, creative and enjoyable material available - certainly better than hearing the same 23 songs for the last 30-40 years or more. There's also a song called Yuletide Zepplin on Santastic III that's responsible for me tracking down this series and the best news? Santastic 4 is part of a series; Santastic I, II, III and IV.  Christmas has finally arrived!

Oh yea, the albums are also FREE. Whoever said free music can't also be good music (one guess) must be having nightmares this season. These albums are offered in vbr 256-320 kpbs. So yes Virginia, you can put down your headphones, blast them on your stereo and (OMG!) share them with someone else.

As Homer would say, "Doh". After all, isn't sharing the point of music?
