Never, Neverland

UNKLE's music is intense, personal and worldly, transitioning between many styles using thought-provoking concepts and universally held beliefs. I think it's impossible to experience UNKLE's music and remain unaffected. Just watch the two videos I posted and try not thinking about them later. Every song on this album leaves an impression. That also probably explains why UNKLE only produces a album every 3 or 4 years.

The brains behind UNKLE are J. Lavelle and D.J. Shadow. They were originally categorized as trip-hop, downtempo electronic music - except they took their music one step further by incorporating a variety of rock artists as featured guests, such as: Jason Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Robert Del Naja (Massive Attack, Primal Scream), Ian Brown, Thom Yorke (Radiohead), among others. The result became an ever changing super-group which offered a variety of fresh sounds for each track, without loosing the total concept behind Never Neverland. Another benefit from being so well connected was a well-produced album. UNKLE has been using their own label since 2004 (RIAA-radar).
