OTE: Vol.3 Dumb Stupid Come-Out Lines
Negativland's Weatherman is their in-house electronical genius that devises all sorts of ways to get the various sounds they use. On this show he comes out of the closet as a homosexual and invites listeners to do the same. The humor is not the subject as much as it is listening to Weatherman's smooth, second grade science teacher-like voice calmly comment about various subjects such as having sex with his equipment. It's just like in the video below, where he matter-of-factly states that everything he does is illegal. Serial killers have probably sounded as relaxed. Anyone that enjoys Firesign Theatre will probably like this as well.
And Negativland runs into trouble again. This time no company would press their CD's. Can you guess why ... they sampled Pink Floyd! Is there any music more recognizable? By now, Negativland has lawyers available and they file a lawsuit against the RIAA. The arguments made by Negativland are intelligent and some of the best I've read.
