Slick: Collectors

Grace Slick is still the queen of acid rock. The album, Collector's dates back to '66 and her first band, The Great Society (pre-Jefferson Airplane). It contains the original (and more psychedelic versions) of "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" which she took with her when she left the band. Later this album was released as Live at the Matrix.

But the best part are her raw, sincere, dreamy and surrealistic vocals and the great compositions that were left behind. The album was recorded live, long before everyone had studio-like equipment available which preserves all the energy put into the music. It's a timeless classic.
